Op Art

"Optical art is a method of painting concerning the interaction between illusion and picture plane, between understanding and seeing."
The term Op Art was first seen in Time Magazine in 1964. After many artist got recognition for using primarily black and whites shapes to make weird designs, this was op art, it started to become a hit. It is said to have derived from constructivist practices of the Bahaus, a German school that got shut down after many of there students freely painted they way the wanted to.
Then in 1966 Bridget Riley and Op art, painter started using color, which many years later, gave us the opportunity to take photographs and create op art pieces of work.
